Steel rims — Iveco Daily 4x4 70-180

The rim that gets you home

Bolt-on steel wheels for the Iveco Daily 4x4 — the same rims we fit to our custom builds before they cross a desert. Because a thousand kilometres from help, the wheel under your truck matters more than how it looks in the driveway.

  • 17x9 steel, load rated 2,500 kg
  • Runs 35" or 37" tyres
  • Direct bolt-on fit
Standard fitment on every Travel Trucks build. The wheels in the photo above are the ones on this page — same rim, same load rating, same price.

The problem we solve

What a broken wheel costs out there

Nobody thinks about rims until one fails on a corrugated track with no phone signal. These are the situations this wheel is built for — told to us by the people who have been there.

  • A cracked rim ends the trip

Alloy wheels crack under repeated hits, and a cracked alloy cannot be fixed on the track. Steel bends instead of cracking — a dented steel rim still holds air and still drives.

  • Help is a long way away

A bent steel rim can be knocked back into shape with hand tools, or welded at any station or roadhouse. That is the difference between driving home and trucking the vehicle out.

  • Nothing off the shelf fits a Daily 4x4

The Daily 4x4 hub is not a common pattern, and "near enough" wheels need spacers and adapters — more parts to fail. These bolt straight on, front and rear. No adapters, ever.

  • Big tyres, wrong wheel

Running 37s on a wheel that was never rated for the load is a gamble. These rims are built for the Daily’s weight with big rubber on — and we prove them under our own trucks first.

Why steel

Steel beats alloy where it counts

Alloy looks good in the driveway. Steel is what you want when you are a long way from one.

  • Takes the hit

Rock strikes, corrugations and potholes dent steel instead of shattering it. The wheel takes the damage so your trip does not.

  • Fixable in the field

Bend it, knock it back, weld it, keep driving. Any bush mechanic can repair a steel rim — nobody can repair a cracked alloy.

  • Bolts straight on

Made for the Iveco Daily 4x4 70-180 stud pattern, front and rear. No spacers, no adapters, no compromises.

  • Proven on our own trucks

Designed in Australia and fitted to every ScrubMaster we build. The Simpson Desert is our test track.

Questions

Straight answers

Will these fit my Daily 4x4?

If it is an Iveco Daily 4x4 70-180 cab chassis — yes, front and rear, no adapters. Not sure what you have? Call with the rego or VIN and we will check for you.

Why steel instead of alloy?

Steel absorbs impact rather than cracking, and can be repaired with basic tools anywhere. For remote travel, that matters more than the small weight saving alloy offers.

What tyre size do they run?

Either a 35 or 37 inch off-road tyre. Our tyre of choice is the Federal Xplora R/T — the setup on our own ScrubMasters. Tell us your current size when you enquire and we will confirm it works.

Can you fit them for me?

Yes. Buy them supplied, or have them fitted, balanced and torqued at our Brendale and Perth facilities — with tyres if you need those too. One visit, done.

How do I order?

Rims are $660 each, or $1,399.50 with a Federal tyre fitted — both including GST. Call or email with your vehicle details and how many you need, and we confirm availability and lead time.
